Recap: FIBArk (aka final Tour stop)

The final stop on the Colorado SUP River Surf Championship Tour took place at the infamous white water festival known as FIBArk. This event not only drew the most competitors, it also pulled in people from around the globe. In total we had 29 men and women competing, the most distant hailing all the way from Japan!

In the men’s division, we saw all the heavy hitters come out to fight for the last points on the Tour. Miles took 1st place by throwing down a dizzying array of spins, chop hops and shuvits. 2nd and 3rd place went to Mike Tavares and Bodhi Harrison respectively who both surfed extremely well.

In the overall Tour, this result didn’t change the men’s final ranking at all. Here are the top three men’s surfers from the Colorado SUP River Surf Championship Tour!

In the women’s division Tracy Sage threw down several excellent surfs to score the 1st place win which pushed her into the top 3 in the overall Tour. Claire Chappell, surfing in her first comp of the season nailed down a 2nd place finish. Vanessa Taylor stayed in the points with 3rd place and held onto her 1st place overall rank.
